Sue lives in Johannesburg and has an MA (Wits, 2006) in research psychology. She works as an academic editor. Her first book was Snakes and Angels (2001), followed by South of Nirvana (2007), and Masza (2013). Her father Peter Randall co-founded Ravan Press in the 1970s and was eventually banned for his work in the field of anti-apartheid literature in South Africa. Sue acquired many of her core writing and editing skills and her overall literary orientation from her parents.
